Australia
We could put you up for a couple of days. A lot depends on the timing. If you want to fly alone in Sydney there are several good packpacker hotels.
There are some local photos and info on Berowra at www.berowra.net Berowra is 40km North of the city of Sydney so you have easy road and rail access to the famous beaches, Opera House, Harbour Bridge, Sydney Harbour ferry trips, casino, city walks and markets, great restuarants. Outside the city there are all sorts of places for coastal and mountain walks, forests etc etc. Locally we have a beautiful river 15 mins to our north and a smaller tributary right on our doorstep.

Australia
   Yes, we can host you.
Yes, Victoria is a great state to visit in Australia. Melbourne has been voted one of the world's greatest cities for livability.

Australia
You can crash at my place, as for making money, we will see what I can figure out.
I live about 20km from Steve Irwin, Crocodile Hunter. The Sunshine Coast is a major tourist destination.
It would be great to host you. Not sure if you remember but I spoke at the EuroTAAC in 2000.
Australia
Some good backpackers in Potts Point, Darlinghurst, Manly (Sydney)
   Beach, beer,
Will be good to talk shop with someone on a similar wave length :)
Brazil
you are welcome in my home when I'm there
   nice place, nice people
if you are in the neighbourhood just contact me by email and I will let you know if I'm there to receive you.
Canada
You could stay with us for a day or so. My son might be able to help find more long term accomodation.
It's Toronto, for heaven's sake. Bars, live theatres, the CN Tower (tallest free-standing communications tower in the world), museums, art galleries, funky shops and restaurants on Queen Street West, the theatre district, the University of Toronto, Toronto Islands, the Beaches, jazz festival, a taste of the Danforth (in August), Caribana (also in August), North by Northwest, gay pride parade in June, Molson Indy in July, major league hockey, baseball, basketball, football (CFL).

Canada
there's an excellent park around the corner ;-)
   heck, its MONTREAL man!

Canada
   yes
Vancouver - the most butiful city in the world
welcome to vancouver and be my guest!
Canada
   Started looking for possibilities
This vastly depends on the season, but activities are primarily concentrated in June-July-August. Year-round activities include a few small but nice museums. Ice-skating and cross-country skiing in the winter. I don't remember much about the rest (see action-packed 3-kids family above).
If you plan on visiting Toronto too, we can try and talk to Macromedia Canada and organize a gathering of AW users or e-learning pundits, in Montreal and Toronto (Montreal has very few AW users, Toronto has more)
Canada
We will be pleased to offer you bed and breakfast and use of our house facilities (including computer and Internet access) for as long as you are in the area.
One thing you can do is relive some of your college days by attending some of our functions. We also have down hill skiing and snowboarding within the city. We can also make arrangements to go sledding (assuming you are coming in sometime in February).

Canada
I have room in my house for you no problem... you can eat what we eat (Italian background mixed with Canadian... mostly Italian though!) & sleep in a bed no charge.
My town is connected to the north side of Toronto... literally there is no dividing line--close to Canada's Wonderland (our miniature version of Disneyland!). Downtown Toronto is about 30 min away. I'm sure you know enough about Toronto.
You're welcome in my home anytime. I may be able to give you use of my car depending on days & even take you around.
Canada
   Have a spare room.
Vancouver is acknowledged to be one of, if not the most beautiful city in the world. Ocean and mountains are close, every kind of activity is available. Avoid winter however, which is the rainy season.
There are not many AW developers in Vancouver, we welcome more!
Canada
   Yes: your own room!
Canada is great, Quebec is great, Montreal is the BEST!

Chile
Yes! The Hilton hotel is near by. Don't worry Danny, you have a place in my house with a comfortable bed, cable TV and Internet connection. All the above for the same price. Sounds nice, isn't it?
Chile is a very long country, so you have desert at the north, beaches and snow near Santiago (snow between Jun-Aug) and lakes with mountains at the south of the country (like Austria). You can make windsurfing, surf, kayak, treking, etc.
I know Chile is very far from the rest of the world, but if you choose to come down, WELCOME HOME DANNY and family!! Take care, -Christian
Denmark

There might be some work for you to do. Also take a look at www.visitranders.com
Looking forward to see you and to teach you how to say "Ole" ;-D
France
Yes, from very low price to palace...
Wine, Wine, Wine But also Sea, Surf, Hoysters, and Authoring http://www.bordeaux-tourisme.com/ http://www.aquitaine-tourisme.com/
Thank you for AWARE. My coworkers use it frequently.
Germany
we have a room for guests
You can see the Lake of Constance (if you don`t have seen enough at Eurotaac) and we are a good starting place for a trip to switzerland. We have a AWARE Player for XML-based Content which is very interesting (parts of it you have seen in Edinburgh - Wiegand M?ller my partner in seemedia presented there)

India
In pune there are many good hotels. Pune is a historical place.
In India, Macromedia is not pramoting Authorware as they pramoting thier other product. Becouse of that we Authorware developer in India not getting good Jobs.
It will be greate for us.
India
   Yes
Our city one of the four largest city in our country. In our city there are many places to visit, worlds second largest beach called marina, and very ancient temples about 3000 years old etc. Also you can conduct seminar on Authorware to create awareness on Authorware because here very few only using authorware efficiently.
I like AWARE list very much. Iam very proud to Host the list Manager in our country. If you have projects in Authorware and e-learning, our country is the best place execute the projects at low cost.
India
not at the moment, but should by the year end
india has quite a few interesting places you might like to visit, rajasthan or goa or kerala.
you could try to get macromedia (india) to let you do a couple of days training sessions in authoreware. this way you would get to meet people using authoreware as well as have part of your stay paid for. this could work as there has never been any good session on authorware out here. you could also promote the list.
Netherlands

Netherlands

   Mooi off road rijden
Edwin
New Zealand
Absolutely. Your more than welcome to stay with me while your here, plus I'm sure I get organise a few other places with friends in different locations.
New Zealand is one of the most beautiful countries in the world. It's made up of 2 Islands (North & South). Population is 4 Million, of which 3 million live in the North. The South is definately where the beauty lies, and the best part is that you can do it all by road. If you take a look at a map of NZ this will give you an idea. In the South Island, Christchurch to Westport takes around 3.5 hours travelling, Christchurch to Dunedin takes about 4, Christchurch to Nelson is about 5. The scenery in the South Island is so spectacular as it can change from deep rainforest to beautiful sandy beaches or alpine in a matter or 2-3 hours driving. If you were to come to NZ
Nobody ever regrets coming to NZ. It's a heap better than the massive lump of dry dirt on the left :o) Plus the exchange rate always makes it worthwhile. For example: a 3 course meal at a good restaurant is about NZ$45 which is about Euro$21. Also if your a film fan, the Lord of the Rings was filmed in the South Island, the Last Samurai (Tom Cruise) was filmed in the North.
New Zealand
You are more than welcome to stay with us. We'd love to meet you.
It's a beautiful small city - 600,000 people - dramatic hills, sea, wildish. Sits right on an earthquake fault, so we must all be mad!

South Africa
My offer still stands. I cannot offer you a guest room, but you're welcome to use the sleeper couch in my lounge.
Most beautiful city in South Africa (the world?). I can put you in touch with a sailing enthusiast (my brother - has his own yacht).

South Africa
   Yes
Pilanesberg Lost City Sun City Kruger National Park Pretoria University Guest Lecturing???
Very much welcome - plan to stay at least five days!!
South Africa
I am sure we would be able to make a plan.
I am sure you know about the sights of Cape Town like: Table Mountain, Clifton, Hout Bay, Seal Island, Chapman's Peak, Cape Point Nature REserve, Penquin Colony at Boulders, Simon's Town, Groot Constantia,Castle of Good Hope, Company Gardens, Bo-Kaap, Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. But then there is the winelands and historical wine estates of Paarl, Franschhoek & Stellenbosch. An absolute must!

Switzerland
   Yes, guest room.
Lake Geneva the place where the world wide web was developed.
will invite Leopold Kause from UBS
United Kingdom
I have a sofa bed that you are welcome to! But please remember - these days I live alone, and men are slobs when on their own :-)
Loads of stuff - tell me what you like, we can find it - countryside? City? Driving? Walking? Museums? ... etc //.....
Danny you are more than welcome to visit me any time you like. I hope things are going better for you now than they were earlier this year. Please do not be a stranger, even if only by email. Let me know what you like - be it beer, golf or scuba-diving - I am sure we can fine a way to ensure you have a great visit!
United Kingdom
   Our front room.
London - you kidding! Turkey - you kidding! Meet me in either, although most of the time I am in London. If you need somewhere to kip down in Turkey I can easily arrange for like $4 a night for a hotel room and breakfast. Here in London it is of course free.
Come over dude! It will be a pleasure havig you here. Also Jennie Thornton is over in London too so you will be able to catch up with her.
United Kingdom
My house. Plenty of space. About 10miles from Edinburgh city centre on a direct bus route. (About 4 miles from the airport)
Edinburgh, Stirling (both direct bus routes), Glasgow (and just about anywhere else in Scotland if you have or rent a car)
The reason I hadn't replied to your message sooner was because I am getting fed up with my job here. If thinks don't work out over the next month or so, I may be on the move. However, in the first instance I'd probably stay in the Edinburgh area. I know you've been to Edinburgh before but if you want to come back you will be made most welcome. Perhaps around EuroTAAC?
United Kingdom
   Yes (see above)
I'm sure you know London. I seem to remember from a previous exchange that you don't like 'hard drink' - but have a milder interest in real ale... As well as the usual London stuff, we can offer a fine selection of country walks with possible stopping-off points at suitable hostelries.
I work at the University of Hertfordshire - outside London. Have a nice trip, amyway.
United States
Yes, you can put your sleeping bag on the bed in the guest room! Or you can just sleep in the bed. It's comfortable.
Because I live here. Also, because Washington, DC is kind of a cool place to visit and Virginia has beautiful weather in the Fall with lots of pretty leaves. You can visit Luray Caverns (gotta see - ask Steve Howard), Shenandoah, do a little hiking, whatever you like. Have I convinced you?
I just spoke with Chris and he said you're welcome to crash at his place for a night or two as well. We'd all love to see you and honor the MAN.
United States
   i have a spare bedroom
Savannah, GA is one of the oldest cities in the South and has a lot of History from the civil war

United States
I'm sure we can find room somewhere.
Depends on the time of year. If you're not used to hot/humid weather avoid North Carolina from May through to mid-September. Wonderful fall foliage (mid-September to mid-November) and excellent spring blossums. Walking trails to the west, beaches to the east - take your pick.

United States
   Yes; free room/board near SF
Close to MM headquarters; San Francisco

United States
We always have a sofa or guest room from you Danny :)
Palo Duro Canyon, second largest canyon in the US. Nice, friendly town, very easy going. Lots of Route 66 historical places to visit, lots of history. Places to do antique shopping.
Good to hear from you, sounds like a grand adventure you are undertaking!
United States
Need to check with he boss, but I have two spare bedrooms. Maybe I will kick her out!!!!
Ask Jennie Thornton about beautiful Detroit!!! Took her on a tour down Michigan Ave. Lots to do. Casinos, Greektown, Mexican Village, and just about anything you can imagine about cars.
There are a few of Aware people around here including myself and Derek Stottlemyer so we can always geek out about Authorware.
United States
We have a guest bedroom. A dog may sleep with you as well. :)
It's beautiful where we are. We're 50 miles NW of Los Angeles and 40 SE of Santa Barbara. We're close to many thiings, museums, food, malls, etc. And the beach is 10 minutes away!
   Look forward to seeing you!
United States
Visitors welcome, at least one empty bed, a couple of couches...
Stillwater is a historic river town (by American standards--1853...!) Antiques, bookstores, beautiful river front, great scenery, bars, restaurants. Half hour to the Twin Cities (Minneapolis and St. Paul) -- world class orchestras, home of Allen Interactions, baseball, football, hockey, etc... Guthrie Theatre. My husband is the mayor of Stillwater, we have friends in the Netherlands... Ethan Edwards from Allen Interactions is also a cellist, sometimes plays in the same community orchestra that I'm in. We live in a house that we've been remodelling/restoring for years, it's almost getting done. Good beer, good food, good company in our town!
What a cool thing to do. Have a great adventure. Would love to be part of it.
United States
Feel free to stay with us for a few days.
Chicago, your kinda town. Big city, lots of culture, ethenicity, restaurants, museums, sports, etc. Big Lake (Michigan) Meet my wonderful wife and children ; )
Have lived in Chicago for 7 years. Know the city very well. Tons to do. We live right in the city at Belmont and Damen. 12 blocks from Wrigley Field (where the baseball team (the Cubs) play.
United States
   Sure, in our guest bedroom.
Michigan has the biggest lakes in the world, Detroit is the home of the Automobile and Motown.

United States
The study doubles as a guest room. Very free, and hopefully comfortable enough.
Nashville is known as Music City, USA, and they aren't kidding. There's all kinds of live music going on every night of the week. Where we live, you can walk four blocks to two venues, and eight blocks to two more, plus a few more restaurants. You can also drive an hour or so to visit the Jack Daniel's distillery south of town, which is a lot of fun if you have any interest in whiskey. Nashville also has Civil War battlegrounds, professional hockey/American football/baseball, a couple of excellent art museums, and more. Plus, Nashville's residents make this one of the friendliest places you can visit in the country. (Honest! I've lived in other cities, and this one's friendly!) If you enjoy boating, it's a 2-hour drive to my parents' 36 foot trawler on Kentucky Lake, and they love to have guests.
We've got two motorcycles and a spare car, in case you want to travel around the southeast for a little while, unfettered by the inefficiencies of the region's public transportation. (I've always been happy to loan our vehicles to old friends and new acquaintances.) Looking forward to meeting you! Hopefully you'll be able to stop in Nashville for a while.
United States
Sure. We have an extra bedroom, my mother-in-law lives around the corner and she has an extra room (though I'd have to check before volunteering her place) and my mother lives a few miles away (have to check with her too) and we have a cabin in the mountains north of here.
Well, the saying is, "Atlanta is a nice place to live, but I wouldn't want to visit there..." In some ways, that's only too true. Atlanta is not a great high-cultural center (art, classical music, etc.), nor is it very cosmopolitan. It is a comfortable place and an important transit center for the southeast. If you're traveling to somewhere in the SE USA, you'll likely come through Atlanta. And it is a good jumping-off place if you want to explore southern culture or do outdoor things (hiking, canoeing, whitewater). And I'm kind of hard on the place - there is plenty to do if you look.
If you're traveling in the US, you'll probably want to get a car. Public transportation, for the most part is non-existent. If you're going out west (and you should), my sister and her husband live in Jackson Wyoming, which is one of the most beautiful places on earth. It's also an hour or two south of Yellowstone National Park. If you're going that way, you could probably stay in their 'guest shack' (it has the best view in the world out the front door). Have fun!
United States
sure, room under my desk at work. actually, plenty of room at my house.
Detroit, Michigan. Just ask Jennie Thornton. She came here and I showed what a great place it is.
I work with Derek Stottlemyer from the LIST so you can kill two birds with one stone.
United States
   Yes
Sites -- heritage related sights, American Civil War related sites. Good recreational opportunities if you are a golfer
   for more info visit www.wheelingcvb.com
United States
We should have a place where you can crash. We can probably even provide a bed.
We're Los Angeles. What else do I need to say?
   Looking forward to your visit.
United States
You're welcome to stay with us.
Rensselaer is across the river from Albany, NYS capital. There are historic sites to be seen in Albany and you are 1 hour from Saratoga, home of Saratoga Raceway, world famous for thoroughbred racing and natural mineral and fresh water springs. Also you are 3 hours from New York City and Boston, offering even more cultural and historic landmarks to visit, the train station is .5 k from my front door. We are also close to many winter sports centers.

United States
You won't have to use your sleeping bag. I would be more than willing to supply a hotel suite near my office. I offer this because my home of over 105 years old.
Everyone has to visit Wisconsin when touring the United States. From the Cows and cheese to good clean fun and living. Minute from everywhere. Great historical communities to the World's Greatest Football Team to Hunting, Fishing, Hiking and biking area. And if you don't find that appealing then we also have SHOPPING and DINING for all! That is my tourism lingo for now.
We would love to have come and visit. Also we are just a couple hour from Joe Francis in Madison, WI and several others in the Wisconsin Area.
United States
   Guest room
   Countryside - big brutus (www.bigbrutus.org)

United States
You are welcome here, I have a spare bedroom with its own bathroom, etc.
The best Blues Club Juke Joint in the Southeast! Don't miss it-friday and saturday nights only (most of the time) If you were here in Jan, there's a great Blues Freedom Festival for Martin Luther King's birthday. Beach isn't far, cool marine life (hands on place near the coast that sells to scientific labs), Wakulla springs where Tarzan was filmed, Florida State University, Florida Agriculture and Mechanical University, Tallahassdee Community College, good theatre, good times while you're here Danny. We met a few times at TAAC and Euro-TAAC, would love for you to visit here. Make yourself at home!
Would love to have you, Danny. Give me a ring if you decide to visit. Jim Jolley
United States
Yes. Certainly you are welcome at my place but I have other friends I could connect you with depending on where you want to go.
We have a large house that was built in the early 1900s as a summer cottage for the rich to escape the city. This cottage is on a small island off of the coast of Maine. I spent summers on the island when growing up. Right now I am in the process of moving back home. This peaceful little corner of the world will give you a glimpse into life as it was years ago.
I hope you enjoy your trip as much as I have mine. I'm sure you will. :-)
United States
I have a guest room in the finished basement that you are welcome to use. I don't know how much time I would have to show you around, but you are welcome to stay here. I am a couple of blocks from a bus and drive to Minneapolis (10-15 minutes) daily. You can join us for meals or other activities if you like or just come and go as you like.
The Boundary Waters Canoe Area is 5 hours north - a great place to go for a wilderness camping experience. There is also dog sledding there. Many folks like the Mall of America, although I don't go there often. The Science Museum is great. There is also lots of great music, arts, and lakes/parks in the Cities to visit.
Hope you have a great trip.
United States
You can stay in the second bedroom/office. You have your own bed and bathroom.
Close to the ocean and border towns of Mexico.
   Were are you coming from?
United States

st. louis has the arch, blues music, the mighty mississippi river (and riverboat gambling if interested), good food and friendly midwesterners

United States
2100 sq ft house. Have 2 extra bedrooms with queen bed or single bed, desk/table with computer, broadband access. Choose the 'beach' room or the black and white room.
Best when weather is warm (April-Oct) and you like the water, the San Marcos River is 10 minutes away for swimming or toobing, the Guadelupe River is 30 min the other way. Austin = of course night life, 6th Street live music scene, great hill-country views, good restaurants, University of Texas football, (soccer w/pads) San Antonio Spurs basketball, San Antonio Riverwalk, and I don't know what all you are interested in. I scuba dive but generally just when we go to Mexico. I have all the gear if you want to borrow it for one of the area lakes: Canyon or Travis. Or if we both go you can rent locally if you are certified by NAUI or PADI.
I might not be able to devote much time to entertaining, but if you want a relatively peaceful few days, or a week or so to relax, sightsee, have a little fun, and not have to spend any money, come on by. BTW, Cindy is a fabulous cook and I'm no slouch at it myself.
United States
   As I said, we'll find you a place :)
Birthplace of Authorware; home of Dr. Michael Allen and other Authorwarians (myself included); called the most livable state in America by some pompous magazine; Mall of America (woohoo); lots of lakes and other pretty things

United States
we have a room that's going to become our daughter's room -- at the moment it's empty. probably in about six months, she'll start sleeping there, but not now,
Lots of cool multimedia stuff, Walker Art Center, Minneapolis Institute of Arts, Radio K, parks, lakes, good music, good food, wireless in all the Dunn Brothers Cafes.
Just tell me when you're coming through!
United States
   Yes.
Menlo Park is located at the center of the silicon valley, right next to Stanford university. It is close to San Francisco (about half an hour drive, less than an hour by train).
   Enjoy your trip.
United States
   Yes.
Has some historical interest, close to Bandelier national monument and Santa Fe.
It's a bit tough to get around in this area without a car, but there is now (for another 12 months anyway) a bus that gets one to SFe and back.
United States
we have a spare bedroom, cable, and cable modem connection
Lot's to see indoors in the winter time. Spring is a "nonevent;" seems to go from winter to summer in late May. In the past several years there has been little accumulated snow. Expect cold and dry but sunny most of the time. Our neiboring community is Oak Park; home of a bunch of Frank Lyllod Wright homes and his home/studio. Good architecture visiting.
Happy to have you stay for a few days. From here you are 2.5 hours by car to Joe Francis and Wisconsin. (A must see). Depending on circumstances I can probably give you a lift up there As of September 2004 both daughters will be in college. As such we "empty nesters" might find ourselves doing some traveling. Once you firm up your plans give us some dates so we can be sure to be around.
United States
Yes, a guest bedroom with your own bathroom and shower. It in the basement but it is nice.
Really, not too much. The University of Illinois is 35 miles away and has some very advanced computer research going on. I think we could get a good tour there. Aside from that we're 100 miles from Chicago and surrounded by trees, cows, horses and corn fields.
We are outside of town, so it's kind of country but secluded and there's an above ground pool. Would really love to have you visit if you could Danny. My kids 13-3 years of age would gain alot from meeting you.
United States
Sure. :) We have a guest room.
I am 30 minutes from dc, 30 minutes from Baltimore and 30-45 from Annapolis. Very central location. Tons to do and see.

United States
We have plenty of room and you are welcome to stay here.
There isn't much do to in Davis, but Davis is convinent to most of northern california. We are 72 miles from SF, 110 from Tahoe, 210 from Yosimite, 130 from the mendecino coast, and best of all 35 miles from the Napa valley.
I just read your "Who is this Guy". Sorry about all the crap during the last year. Life can suck sometimes. My wife and my son's mother died two year ago and made me change my direction also. We can share stories. Also, my mother's family is from Holland and I am told that I have relatives in the south of Holland (never visited them). My next door neigbors are Dutch (from Holland and speak Dutch). If you love hiking, northern california and the Sierra Nevada Mountains are hiking Mecca. Hope you visit. What a great idea. Any thing else I can do, just ask. If you are going to TAAC8, I will be sure to introduce myself.
United States
We have accommodations as mentioned above, and there are many nearby hotel/motel options as well.
Huntington Beach is very near to all Los Angeles and San Diego attractions (lots of attractions; Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm, Hollywood, Malibu, Sea World, San Diego Zoo, etc...), but is less urban than Los Angeles or San Diego proper. There are a few of the AWARE list old-timers nearby (you've probably already gotten offers from them as well).
I just want you to know that you are welcome any time during your visit, and if you need help/assistance with accommodations during your stay in southern California (should you decide to visit here) I am more than happy to provide you with a place to stay and things to do. You and Peter have contributed invaluably to the Authorware community, and we owe you a great deal of gratitude. Take care and I hope you have very exciting and adventurous travels. Mike
United States
If not for a night or two at my house, I have many friends in the area and we can probably find you a crash spot.
You should really come to San Francisco and get a tour of Macromedia. You know all the rest about SF, so come on down.
I will probably be out of town on the following: Sept. 19-22, and also October 22-26 (TAAC !!).
United States
Here if you dont mind floor space. Without a doubt cheaper than anything else around.
It is New York City! Sites, sounds more sites.
Just FYI I work for Joe Ganci/DazzleTech, I work from home mostly. Always open for questions.
United States
   You are always welcome here.
   We miss you, that's why!

United States
Of course! In my guest room!
Because Seattle is one of the most beautiful cities in the world! We have mountain ranges to the East and West, numerous national forest, great breweries, wonderful food, a relaxed atmosphere, and lots of rain.
It would be fun to see you!
United States
rooms in 4-bedroom house, nothing fancy
geographic center of US. If passing through, worth stopping for a day
I am currently working in Washington, DC until Feb. 1st 202-586-9988 days 703-772-3961 tciccateri@kcp.com I enjoyed my visit to Utrecht for the AWARE meeting a few years ago.
United States
Sure - You can stay at my house.
There are number of AWARE people that live in my area. Tom Adams, Peter Whipple and Mike Baker - a few hours away in Ft. Scott. Kansas City is a fun town in the Fall with the Chiefs FootBall games, lots of lakes in the Spring and Summer and it gets cold and snows in the winter.
